BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Among five women’s collegiate club divisions created in 2001 along with the Mid-Atlantic, New York, New England and Southeast Divisions, the Texas Division is next up as the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) continues to spotlight the organization’s collegiate club divisions.

Comprised of Texas A&M University “A”, Texas A&M University “B”, Rice University, Texas State University and the University of Texas, the Texas Division is currently among the smallest divisions in the women’s collegiate club ranks.

HISTORY:  The Texas Division has been dominated by three teams since its formation in 2001 as nine-time champion Texas A&M (2001, 2008, 2010, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019) joins six-time titlist Texas (2002, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2016) and four-time winner Rice University (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006) in accounting for the all group’s crowns.  Although among National Championship contenders each year, a Texas Division team has never advanced to the Women’s National Collegiate Club Championship title game.
