VIILLANOVA, Pa. — The InterAc Monstars went undefeated to repeat as the Eastern Water Polo League “A” Division champions.
A key to the victory was the goaltending of team leader Max Kelly, along with the offensive production of Mike Gartner and Magnus Sims.
Kelly, a former standout at Occidental College and now a coach at Episcopal Academy outside Philadelphia, was a critical part of shutting down the opposing shooters.
Gartner, a four-time First Team All-Conference player from Brown University, led the team in scoring, followed by Sims, an offensive threat in his own right who played at Fordham University and is now the Malvern Preparatory head coach.
