BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Montclair Makos (N.J.) will host a Summer Splash Clinic on June 22-August 20 with practices focused on the fundamentals of water polo. Topics include: head-up free-style swimming, treading water, catching and throwing the ball with one hand in addition to full length 25-yard scrimmaging. All sessions will be led by coaches Chris Kelsch and Sarah Carter.
This clinic is intended for new players who want to try water polo ahead of the competitive fall season.
Beginners are welcome – but they must be able to swim four 25-yard laps continuously and tread water for 60 seconds.
Sessions will occur at the Park Street YMCA (Montclair, N.J.) on Mondays and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.
