BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Ridge Raptors club, located in Perkasie, Pa., seeks a head water polo coach.

Pay: Up to $30 an hour or an equivalent seasonal stipend

Job Type: Part-time

Shift and Schedule: To be determined

Reports To: Executive Board of Directors

Job Description:  The Head Water Polo Coach is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the water polo program. This includes designing and implementing effective training programs for ages 7 through 18, developing athletes’ skills, fostering teamwork and sportsmanship, and overseeing the overall administration of the team.

Ridge Raptors Water Polo Club was founded in the fall of 2019. The mission of the Ridge Raptors Water Polo Club is to sponsor competitive and developmental water polo events as part of American Water Polo and USA Water Polo league. Over the past 5 years, the program has grown to over 140 athletes from ages 7 to 18 across multiple school districts.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The head coach is responsible for creating training plans, implementing drills, teaching techniques, providing feedback, conducting practices, instilling strategies, being a positive role model, maintaining open communication, ensuring safety, fostering team spirit, keeping records, coordinating logistics, and handling additional tasks as assigned. Must adhere to policies established in the USA Water Polo “Coaches Code of Conduct.”

Qualifications:

Minimum (3) three years of experience coaching water polo at a competitive level.

Current American Water Polo Coaches membership including Concussion Course, NCSI background clearance, and protecting children from abuse video course completion.

PA Criminal background and Child Abuse Clearances.

Current certifications from the Red Cross or other equivalent agency: Lifeguard / First Aid / CPR and AED.

Strong understanding of foundational water polo skills and teaching methods.

Excellent communication skills to interact with children, parents, and fellow coaches.

Passion for working with youth and inspiring them to achieve their best performance.

Excellent organizational and time management skills for managing practices, games, and administrative tasks.

Knowledge of injury prevention, player safety, and first aid procedures.
