ARDMORE, Map. — Lower Merion High School, located at 315 East Montgomery Ave, Ardmore, PA 19003, seeks a high school water polo coach.
- Fall Season: August 15 – October 25
- Practice Schedule: August: 8:00 – 10:30 am / September – October: 3:00 – 5:45 pm
- Games Schedule: Generally two games per week. Game times are generally in the late afternoon.
- Tournament Schedule: Saturday Tournaments from September thru October.
- Team Description: Lower Merion High School has had a team for the past 6 years. Last year was our first full scheduled varsity season. Our team is projected to have 24 to 28 athletes this upcoming season. The team currently runs a JV and Varsity squad playing co-ed. We anticipate that the numbers for a Varsity Girls Team will allow us to separate our squads this upcoming season. Our ideal line up would be JV, Varsity Girls, Varsity Boys. Our school has a very strong swimming culture comprising 3 to 4 different clubs in the area as well as our LMHS Varsity Swim Team. Each year more swimmers are signing up for water polo. A strong core of athletes has dedicated their time to playing water polo in Fall as well as Winter and Spring with Mavericks.
- Position: Lower Merion is looking for an experienced candidate to partner with our current water polo team sharing responsibilities across all three squads. Experience can range from former player, referee, to former coaching experience. Individuals with little to no experience are welcome to apply as long as they are
eager to learn. - The Fall Sports season is a compact season. We are willing to build in schedule flexibility for the dedicated candidate.
