- American Water Polo/FINA rules will apply.
- 18s/16s boys – 6 minutes quarters, size 5 ball, 30 seconds shot clock, 1 timeout per game.
- 18s/16s/14s girls and 14s boys – 6 minutes quarters, size 4 ball, 30 seconds shot clock, 1 timeout per game.
- 12U CoEd – 6 minutes quarters, size 3 ball, 35 seconds shot clock, 1 timeout per game.
- 10U CoEd – 5 minutes quarters, size 2 ball, 35 seconds shot clock, 1 timeout per game.
- 18s/16s/14s will play 7 on 7 water polo with senior cages. 12s will play 6 on 6 water polo with junior cages and modified field size. 10s will play 5 on 5 water polo with youth cages and 15 meters field length.
- 2min break between quarters, 3min break at half
- First team listed will wear white caps and start to the left of the scorer’s table.
- Rosters will be uploaded on the league’s spread sheet and checks will be conducted prior to each game.
- Running clock will be applied when the goal differential is higher than 7 goals.
- Age cut of is January 4th, 2025. That means that the athlete who is 14 years old on January 4th can play in the 14U division. If the same athlete turns 15 on January 7th, he/she can still play on the 14U level until the end of the league which is January 19th.
- All games must have an outcome. Ties will go directly to shootout.
- Bracket points will be awarded as follows:
- 4 points for a regulation win
- 3 points for a shootout win
- 2 points for a shootout loss
- 1 point for a regulation loss
- 0 points for a forfeit* (Forfeit – In addition, you will have to pay a $100 fine to compete in your next contest)

- CSL Finals (Central Location in Merced and Fresno)
- Saturday, January 18 — 10U coed,14U girls, 16U boys,19U boys/girls
- Sunday, January 19 — 12U coed ,14U boys, 16U girls
- Conference Play Round 1 (South CSL, North CSL, Central Coast CSL)
- Brutalities:
- The call will result in a penalty throw and a 4-minute exclusion. Further, if a player is called for a brutality, he or she will be out for the remainder of that game and the rest of the games that are played on that day.
- Further, if a player is called for a brutality, he or she will be out for the remainder of that game and two subsequent games if the brutality occured during that team’s last game of the day.
- The league commissioner can determine if the act of brutality was not called correctly by the official and the punishment can be removed or lessened.
- You will need to submit a video proof if you want to protest the brutality.
- Red Cards: Next game suspension
- Flagrant Misconduct: 2 games suspension
- Fighting: 5 games suspension
- Failure to obey the referee’s instructions are dealt with on a case by case basis.
- Protests:
- Protests must be filed within 30 minutes of the end of the game and recorded by a referee on the scoresheet.
- Please write out your protest and submit to the site host who will then consult with the officials on site, the league head official and the league commissioner.
- If you are protesting an adverse course condition, this must be protested prior to the start of the game.
